Saturday, September 7, 2013  | 11 am – 6 pm

Parade kicks off at West Hills , continues down to New York  Avenue and ends at Church Street.
The Huntington Awareness Day Parade is a follow up on previous annual parades that took place approximately five years ago.  Al White, Dolores Thompson and Supervisor Frank Petrone decided that it was time to bring the community together by a unified effort in the reorganization of the Huntington Awareness Day Parade.  The theme being “Unity In the Community”.  A planning committee was established on April 12. 2010.
The Town of Huntington in conjunction with the Huntington Awareness Community Partnership is sponsoring a one day event on September 7, 2013, celebrating “Unity in the Community”. This special event will include a parade along the New York Avenue corridor in part and ending with a festive carnival.Huntington Awareness / Unity Day will bring pride and cohesiveness to the Town of Huntington as a whole. We are asking that you or a representative of your organization join the Town of Huntington and the Huntington Awareness Community Partnership on this day to help make the community aware of your services. At parade end, there will be spaces available for Not-for-Profit agencies/ organizations to display information. As a Not-For-Profit agency/organization no fee or cost will be ensued for your participation. Information outlining the details of the times and set up will follow.
